RydoMoto Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026 · Publisher: DigiFoc Private Limited
RydoMoto lets a group of riders share live location, chat and plan a trip together in a temporary room. We built it so that we never need to store your data: there are no accounts and no RydoMoto servers that keep your rides.
What the app uses
- Precise location, including in the background while you are in a ride room. It is sent only to the other riders in your room, so they can see you on the map, and it stops when you leave the room.
- Display name that you type in. It is shown to the other riders in your room.
- Chat messages and voice clips (the microphone is used only while you hold the talk button). These go only to riders in your room.
- Photos that you choose for the Trip Story maker. They are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
How the data travels
Room traffic is end-to-end encrypted (AES-GCM) with a key derived from the room code, and passes through public MQTT relay servers that cannot read it. Nothing is stored after the room ends. The room host's device holds the room state; when the host leaves, the room is gone.
Third-party services
To show maps, routes, places and weather, the app sends map coordinates or search text (never your name) to: OpenStreetMap tiles, OSRM routing, Photon geocoding, Overpass, Wikipedia, Open-Meteo and, if you use the experimental music feature, YouTube. Their own privacy policies apply to those requests.
What we do not do
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or share personal data, and we do not keep location history.
Children
RydoMoto is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices
You can stop sharing at any time by leaving the room or revoking the location permission in your phone's settings. Uninstalling the app removes everything it saved on your device.
